“The World Beneath the Wandering Stone”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ehta is a peaceful terrestrial world located in the frontier beyond the major powers of the galaxy in the Ehta System. Though blessed with fertile land, vast forests, and mild seas, it has never become a great interstellar power. Instead, it remains one of the last worlds where life moves at a slower pace, measured by harvests and seasons rather than wars and Waygates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planet’s warm climate supports enormous coastal forests, rolling plains, and shallow emerald seas filled with abundant marine life. Most of the population lives near the coast, while the immense interior forests remain sparsely settled and largely untouched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the Ancients built a Waygate within the system thousands of years ago, Ehta was never developed into a major crossroads. It became known instead as a quiet harbor, a place where ships could replenish supplies, repair their hulls, and purchase some of the finest timber in the Outer Reaches before continuing into unexplored space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People of Ehta<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The native people of Ehta, known as the Ehtari<\/strong>, are a peaceful and artistic civilization whose culture centers on family, craftsmanship, and stewardship of the natural world. Their cities are built from stone and timber, carefully blended into the surrounding landscape rather than replacing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Ehtari understand that other worlds exist, most have little interest in leaving their own. Their songs and stories speak of the stars with curiosity rather than ambition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This outlook is reinforced by biology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For reasons no scholar fully understands, Ehtari cannot survive prolonged travel through the In-Between<\/strong>. Exposure to the magical energies of Fold travel causes severe neurological illness that worsens with each journey. While they can travel freely within their own system, no Ehtari has ever survived a lifetime as a spacer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, they have never become navigators, merchants, explorers, or soldiers among the stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eldar long ago concluded that the Ehtari posed no military or political threat and left the world largely to govern itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Timber Coast<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
