Some creatures, as they become more challenging, may have HP bonuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Skills:<\/strong> the most important skills for monsters are their combat skills as well as: Dodge, Grapple, Hide, Listen, Spot, and Stealth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Special:<\/strong> Some creatures have special abilities. They can range from an innate ability to trip an opponent or a natural armor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Armor:<\/strong> Most creatures can wear armor, although many monsters are not naturally inclined to do so. Animals are creatures who have a very low intelligence and are guided by instinct. Animals can have empathy, but it is guided by instinct. Monsters are creatures who lack empathy, they can be intelligent or not, but monsters can be destructive, violent, and selfish. Beings are creatures that possess the intelligence to understand the world they are a part of and may have empathy. Beings, due to their complex intelligence, can be as varied as you can imagine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Monster Types:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All monsters gain a damage bonus equal to their CV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Constructs:<\/strong> Constructs can not heal naturally, but can be repaired magically or through special abilities. With no CON, most constructs HP are based on SIZ x CV (some golems are Boss tier and HP is based on the golem&#8217;s base CV, not their encounter CV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Navirite<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Undead:<\/strong> Most undead creatures do not have intelligence, spirit, or constitution. In rare cases, such as liches or mummies, their spirit has stayed attached to their undead form, so they have their living intelligence and spirit. Undead often have wither or spirit drain. Undead have no Constitution, so they base their HP on SIZ x 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vermin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Being Types<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elves:<\/strong> Living sentient beings who share a common ancestry from greater universe. Elves are naturally prone to use magic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fae<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Terian:<\/strong> Living sentient creatures that evolved on Uteria, and have the ability to produce offspring together: Terans, Dworvs, and Dweran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Terianeth:<\/strong> Living sentient creatures that are from or resemble those of Uteria. They eat, drink, and breathe. They may have come from other worlds, but they have acclimated to Uteria and are a non-magical species.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creature Special Abilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Area Knockback<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A successful Heroic Action allows the creature to push all adjacent targets 5\u2019 away. On a <em>special,<\/em> they get pushed back 10\u2019, and a <em>critical<\/em> 15\u2019. The target must also make a successful Agility roll or fall prone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Darkvision<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No creature can see in truly pitch black environments, but some can see when there is even the faintest light source. Those with Dark Vision can see as they normally with even the slightest of light sources. This Dark Vision is limited to the light source, though, but allows them to see 3x as far as the standard light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Grab&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When hit with an attack that also does grab, the attacker and defender must roll a Heroic Action. If the defender loses, they become grappled. They must succeed at a Heroic Action during their turn to free themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Light Sensitivity<\/strong><br>If exposed to light brighter than a torch, attacks suffer -5% to hit, and <em>Spot<\/em> is dropped by -10%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Knockback<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>A successful Heroic Action allows the creature to push the target 5\u2019 away. On a <em>special,<\/em> they get pushed back 10\u2019, and a <em>critical<\/em> 15\u2019. The target must also make a successful Agility roll or fall prone (see <strong>Prone<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Resistant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some creatures are naturally resistant to magical energy.
