Dispel

Mana per Level:1

Casting Time: 1 Standard Action

Range: 100’

Target: Single Target

Duration: Instant

Avoidance: None

Special: None

Type: Utility

A mage can use dispel to rid themselves or another target of the effects of a spell. Unlike Countermagic, it must overcome the mana of the spell targeted, but unlike Countermagic, there is no Heroic Action to negate the spell. Dispel must be targeted at a single spell, and can not effect multiple spells even if they effect the same target. The casting mage must be aware of the spell to target it. Dispel may also be used against summoned creatures or magical traps.

Spellcraft failure: The spell fizzles, and mana is lost.
