The Temple of the Valley is a new, Dark Return setting adventure for 4-6 characters of 2nd to 3rd level created specifically for the SagaBorn Roleplaying Game. It is a 25+ page adventure with new monsters, new talents, and the optional Sanity rules system.
In the ancient past the Eldar peoples worshiped Tanthias as one of their primary gods. As many peoples do, they created temples to their god. Several millenia ago, the shapeshifting creatures known as nachzur troubled the Eldar as they do with goodly folk today. The nachzur Brelmani took the form of a Tanthian priest, using his form to prey on the people of his village. When the Eldar people discovered this, they were furious and punished him by imprisoning him in the very temple he lived in. The Eldar destroyed the entrance way and filled it with rubble.
However, over the ages earthquakes created a fissure that opened the sealed temple to the outside world. A pack of redcaps, vile creatures who enjoy nothing more than torturing sentient beings, found the fissure to the ancient temple of Tanthias and have made their home there. From this lair they’ve raided surrounding settlements, including an orlock hive deeper in the mountains.
