Gorgalug

Gorgalugs, often called “tank slugs” by adventurers, are large creatures who live within the dark caverns and deep recesses of the earth. They burrow through solid stone by two means, both involving acid production: some from a gland under its mouth that it can spit precisely up to 30 feet, and the other secreted from pores all over the gorgalug’s body. They will normally make a lair in a giant cavern and attract prey by using a scented oil secreted from their bodies.

Somewhat intelligent, gorgalugs enjoy hitting their prey with their acid spit and watching as the victim squirms in pain before devouring it.

Acid Immunity 

Gorgalugs are immune to all forms of acid, both mundane and magical.

Acid Spit
Every 2 rounds,as a move or standard action,  the gorgalug can spit acid up to 30 ft. The acid acts as a standard acid and deals 1d6+1 or 1 AV for 3 rounds. No damage on a successful Dodge save. The acid is gel-like and causes no splash damage.

Dissolve Stone

A gorgalug can use its powerful acid to burrow through solid rock. It first makes small openings for it to begin burrowing, typically by spitting acid from a special gland under its mouth, which it also uses to attack unsuspecting adventurers. 

It then secretes an acid similar to its spit (but much more concentrated) from various pores all over its body. As it squeezes its body into those small cracks and crevices, the acid dissolves the surrounding stone, creating larger paths and tunnels through the earth behind it. 

Armor Shell
As a full-round action, curls into a protective ball, increasing Armor Value to 25. While curled, it cannot move or attack. It can remain curled up to 2 weeks without food or water.

Gorgalug Acid Gland (Reagent)
The harvested acid gland of a gorgalug produces acid identical to its Acid Spit attack. Each gorgalug contains 6 doses, each requiring its own vial. The acid is considered a standard acid.

Gorgalug Shell Plate (Remnant)
Thick chitin-like plates from the gorgalug’s shell can be crafted into a shield equivalent to a steel shield, but impervious to acid. An adolescent gorgalug often has 1 to 3 plates on its back.

Pungent Scent
Secretes an oil smelling of rotting meat to lure prey. Any creature with scent automatically detects it. Spot checks against a gorgalug gain +20%.
