A horse is a domesticated animal that has served the peoples of the world since before recorded time. Faithful and dependable, horses are commonly used as mounts, draft animals, and beasts of burden. Horses stand 5–6 feet at the shoulder and weigh between 1,000 and 1,500 pounds.

Keen Scent
A horse possesses an excellent sense of smell and can detect nearby creatures even when it cannot see them.
A horse can detect the presence of creatures by scent within 30’, though this does not reveal their exact location. The range increases to 60’ if the scent is carried downwind toward the horse and decreases to 15’ if the horse is downwind from the source.
Strong scents can be detected at twice these distances, while overpowering scents can be detected at three times the normal distance.
Once within 5’ of the source, the horse can pinpoint its location.
A horse can also use Survival to follow a creature’s scent trail.
Low-Light Vision
Horses see exceptionally well in dim conditions and suffer no penalties from low light as long as some ambient light is present.
Run
When running in a relatively straight line over open terrain, a horse can move up to four times its Speed (120’) with a Run action.
