Stone Golem

The stone golem. The last in my current entries for golems. It is made from stone, all the way through. They stand around 9’ tall and weigh around 2,000 lbs. They are almost as tough as an iron golem, but it’s a little bit easier to chip rock away. A tritium blade is still recommended. Iron golems show resistance to spells like most other golems, though Delgon used a few spells that made it easier for me to chop it down to size.

SIZ Note

Large (SIZ 30) = -10% to Hide, Stealth, and Dodge (already applied).

Living Stone

The enchantments used to create a stone golem reinforce every part of its body. A stone golem has 110 HP instead of the normal 60 HP provided by its SIZ.

Earth Magic Resistance

A stone golem takes half damage from Earth magic. In addition, it gains a +20% bonus to saves against Earth spells that would move, reshape, restrain, or otherwise alter its body.

Earthshaking Blow

As a standard action, the stone golem may smash both fists into the ground.

All creatures standing on the ground within 15′ suffer 2d8+10 damage and must make a DEX save. On a failure, the creature is knocked prone. The impact fractures the surrounding ground. Until the beginning of the stone golem’s next turn, movement through the affected area costs double normal movement. The stone golem can use Earthshaking Blow once every 3 rounds.

Tritium and Blackrock

Weapons made from Tritium or Blackrock ignore the stone golem’s AV. Adventurers equipped specifically to fight one can bring down an otherwise extremely durable stone golem much faster.

Golem Traits

The stone golem has all standard Golem Traits: immunity to critical hits, mind magic, disease, death effects, paralysis, poison, sleep, stun, and effects requiring a CON save. Damage from spells is reduced by 50% unless otherwise noted. It has Darkvision 60’. A golem does not normally Dodge or Parry unless its instructions specifically command it to defend itself.
