Death’s Eye Spider

A giant brown hunting spider found only in the Kaelnor Forest, the death’s eye spider derives its name from the ghostly white oval marking its abdomen. Unlike most giant spiders, it does not spin webs to catch prey, instead stalking and ambushing victims before delivering a venomous bite.

Arnach goblins prize these spiders as both mounts and hunting companions. Spider wranglers can coax them into weaving barriers, traps, and tangled mazes through the forest, despite the spiders never using webs to capture prey naturally.

Darkvision

A death’s eye spider can see normally in darkness out to 60 feet, provided there is at least the faintest available light.

Spider Climb

Death’s eye spiders effortlessly climb walls, ceilings, trees, and other rough surfaces at their full movement rate. They never need to make Climb checks except on magically slick or otherwise unnatural surfaces. Their Climb skill is primarily used when resisting Heroic Actions or extraordinary environmental hazards.
