Mummy

A mummy is an undead creature who went through a lengthy embalming process and was then resurrected for nefarious reasons. They are often used as guardians of ancient tombs, though some texts mention mummies who rose from their tombs by sheer force of will. The mummy’s most dreaded ability is Mummy Rot, which can cause a victim to slowly decompose until nothing remains but sand and dust.
